The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Tankless Gas Water Heater: .80 EF minimum
Direct Contact Gas Water Heater: 90% Thermal Efficiency minimum
Gas Furnace: AFUE 90% minimum
Gas Boilers (Steam and Hot Water): AFUE 85% minimum
Gas Unit Heater: 82% Thermal Efficiency minimum
Programmable Thermostats (Gas Heating): Energy Star (where not required by code)
Boiler Outside-Air Reset Control/Boiler Tune-up: Existing boilers only
Window: U-value 0.42 or less
Increased Roof Insulation: Minimum R-5 or higher above code
Wall Insulation: Minimum R-3.7 continuous insulation above code

Questar Gas provides rebates to its business customers for installing energy efficient food service equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC and water heating equipment, and certain weatherization measures. Some equipment rebates vary depending on the efficiency level and/or size of the equipment. Applications and additional program details can be found on the program website.
