The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Thank you for your continued support and patience during this transition. We hope you are as excited for December as we are!

River Falls Municipal Utility (RFMU), in conjuction with the Wisconsin Focus on Energy program, offers a variety of rebates to residential electric customers for upgrading to energy efficient equipment.  Incentives currently exist for refrigerator and freezer recycling, A/C system tune-ups, water heater upgrades, and programmable thermostats.  RFMU's Multi-Family Energy Savings Program also provides a host of incentives for energy efficient upgrades to condos and apartments.  RFMU is also encouraging its customers to plant trees around their homes for the energy saving and environmental benefits, customers can recieve up to $50 dollars back from the cost of three trees planted.  Finally, the Energy Star Home Performance Program provides a rebate of up to 33.3 percent of the cost of whole-building efficiency measures taken by homeowners, with additional incentives for resulting energy savings above 15 percent.

RFMU also provides an array of programs for income-qualifying customers and that encourage energy efficiency.  The Refrigerator Replacement Program allows qualifying customers to upgrade their old refrigetor to a new, more efficient model at no cost.  With help from the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program, a customer credit program is also being provided to customers to assist in managing energy cost from month to month.   Finally, RFMU works with local agencies to provide free weatherization services for qualifying customers.
