Summary:
Eligible Wisconsin consumers who purchase and install certain qualifying energy efficient appliances can receive incentives through the Focus on Energy (FOE) program. Products must meet minimum efficiency standards in order to qualify for rebates. As of July 2010, Focus On Energy rebates are being offered for water heaters and certain lighting fixtures. Water heater incentives range from $50 to $250 depending on the type of water heater and its efficiency. Incentives for fuel conversion from electric to a power vented natural gas water heater may be combined with the incentive for an efficient power vented gas water heater. Builders may receive incentives for installations in newly constructed homes.

As of this writing, lighting incentives are limited to $30 per fixture for up to 12 qualified LED light fixtures. It is possible that other rewards will be available at a later date during 2010 or in subsequent years. Visit the program web site for additional details and reward forms.

Note that customer eligibility for Focus on Energy incentives is based on utility participation; interested individuals and companies should use the eligibility tool on the program website to determine if their local utility is participating in the Focus on Energy program.
