Note: This incentives described below are distinct from those offered through the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP) which offers rebates for certain other appliances under somewhat different terms and conditions.
Eligible Wisconsin consumers who purchase and install certain qualifying energy efficient appliances can receive incentives through the Focus on Energy (FOE) program. Products must meet minimum efficiency standards in order to qualify for rebates. As of February 2010, Focus On Energy rebates are being offered for water heaters and certain lighting fixtures, although as noted above, rebates for additional appliances are available through the SEEARP. Water heater incentives range from $50 to $250 depending on the type of water heater and its efficiency. Customers may also be eligible for an additional rebate if their water heater purchase qualifies for the SEEARP. Builders may receive incentives for installations in newly constructed homes.
Lighting incentives vary by product, ranging from $2 per compact fluorescent light bulb, to $15 for fluorescent torchieres and fixtures, to $30 for qualified LED light fixtures. It is possible that other rewards will be available at a later date during 2010 or in subsequent years. Please visit the program website for additional details and reward forms.
Note that customer eligibility for Focus on Energy incentives is based on utility participation; interested individuals and companies should use the eligibility tool on the program website to determine if their local utility is participating in the Focus on Energy program.
