The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Orcas Power & Light - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Applicable Sectors: Residential
Amount:Air Source Heat Pump: $300 - $1,900
Ductless Heat Pump: $1,500
Insulation: $0.05 - $0.85 per square foot
Duct Sealing: $400 - $500
Window Replacement: $6 per square foot
Clothes Washer: $20 - $70
Refrigerator/Freezer: $15
Water Heaters: $25
Equipment Requirements:Air-source Heat Pumps: Energy Star rated; SEER 14; HSPF of 8.5
Appliances: Must be Energy Star rated
Clothes Washer: MEF 2.0; WF 6.0 or lower
Water Heater: Energy Factor (EF) of 0.85 - 0.94, depending on tank size
Refrigerator: Must be at least 7.75 cubic feet
Installation Requirements:Heat Pumps: Must be installed by a certified PTCS technician.

Orcas Power and Light Cooperative offers incentives for residential customers to pursue energy efficiency upgrades in eligible homes. Rebates are offered for Energy Star rated appliances, water heaters and heat pumps. The clothes washer rebate varies according to whether a home has a gas or electric water heater system. Please see necessary requirements and procedures on each rebate form and follow instructions. Program forms and applications may be found on the program web site listed above.
