Avista Utilities Home Improvement, New Home Construction, and Energy Star Appliance Rebate programs offer a variety of incentives for residential customers to save energy in homes. Offers apply to residential homeowners in Washington and Idaho who heat homes primarily with Avista electricity or natural gas. Incentives vary depending on technology, and generally apply to both existing and new construction homes. Interested customers should see the web site for more information including individual program requirements, specifications, and all application forms.

A $900 incentive is available for the builder of new construction homes using Avista electric or Avista electric and natural gas that meet the Energy Star Homes criteria and are verified as an Energy Star Home. A $650 incentive is available for homes that have natural gas heat and hot water provided by Avista, but not electric. More information on Energy Star Homes can be found on the program web site.
