The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Clark Public Utilities - Solar Energy Equipment Loan

Clark Public Utilities offers financing available to its customers for the purchase and installation of residential solar equipment. Loans up to $10,000 are available for solar pool heaters and solar water heaters and up to $30,000 for photovoltaic systems.

Solar water heater loans, solar pool heater loans and solar PV loans under $10,000 have a maximum term of 60 months. Solar PV loans over $10,000 have a maximum term of 84 months. All loans carry an interest rate of 5.25%. Solar pool and water heater loans are only applicable to customers currently using electricity to heat water. Loans of less than $5,000 have a loan processing fee of $225, and loans of $5,000 or more have a loan processing fee of $350. Loans are non transferable.

In addition, Clark Public Utilities offers a rebate program for eligible solar water heating systems.
