The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Thank you for your continued support and patience during this transition. We hope you are as excited for December as we are! Summary:

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) offers incentives for multifamily new construction projects. In order to participate, buildings must be be 5 or more attached units and located in the PSE electric or natural gas service territory. Prescriptive rebates are available for certain pre-approved equipment. Custom incentives may also be available, and interested customers should contact PSE for more information.

Additionally, PSE is offering incentives for whole building that meet certain criteria. The program sets a code equivalent energy budget that is unique to each building based on the square footage of each occupancy type. The incentive requires computer energy modeling and encourages developers to go after deep energy savings by setting a low Energy Use Intensity (EUI) target for the building. The lower the energy target, the higher the incentive. Benchmarking actual energy use for 2-years is a requirement and with that is a benchmarking performance incentive to provide additional dollars the closer the actual energy use of the building gets to the computer model estimate with no incentive cap for performing better than the energy model.
