The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Ceiling or Attic Insulation: $0.30 per sq. ft.

Conventional Natural Gas Water Heater: $45
Combination Domestic Water/Hydronic Space Heating System (using Tankless Water Heater): $825
Condensing Tankless Water Heater: $150
High-Efficiency Exterior Door: $50
Whole House Residential Air Sealing: $100
Equipment Requirements:Floor Insulation: Equal to or greater than R-30 or to fill cavity; prior condition must not exceed R-11
Wall Insulation: Equal to or greater than R-11; prior to condition must not exceed R-4
Ceiling or Attic Insulation: Equal to or greater than R-38; prior condition must not exceed R-18
High Efficiency Natural Gas Furnace: AFUE 95% minimum
High Efficiency Natural Gas Hearth: FE 70% or AFUE 80% minimum
Conventional Natural Gas Water Heater: .67 EF minimum
Condensing Tankless Water Heater: .91 EF minimum
Combination Domestic Water/Hydronic Space Heating System: preapproval required by CNGC - AFUE 90% minimum
High-Efficiency Exterior Door: 0.21 U minimum Air Sealing: Equal or less than 0.0003 Specific Leakage Area
Installation Requirements:Must be installed by a Washington-licensed contractor.
Insulation and air sealing measures must be performed by a CNGC qualified Trade Ally

Summary:

Cascade Natural Gas offers a variety of incentives to residential customers for making energy efficiency improvements to existing homes. Eligible equipment includes furnaces, water heaters, insulation, radiant heaters, and air sealing. Incentives are available directly from Cascade Natural Gas in Washington and are administered by Energy Trust of Oregon in Oregon. Incentives listed here apply to Washington residential customers of Cascade Natural Gas. Fuel for the home’s primary heat source must be provided by Cascade Natural Gas for all heating incentives and home’s water-heating fuel must be provided by Cascade Natural Gas for all water-heating incentives. Check the Cascade Natural Gas web site for application forms and further equipment requirements.
