The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Columbia Rural Electric Association offers its residential customers a variety of rebates for the purchase of energy efficient equipment and measures. Eligible equipment includes efficient clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, lighting fixtures, heat pumps, building insulation, and water heaters all qualify for rebates. These incentives will be made available to customers through a credit on monthly electric bills. Most equipment must meet certain energy efficiency standards listed on the program web site. Check the program web site or contact CREA for more information, specific equipment requirements, and program applications.
