The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Brownsville Public Utilities Board - Green Living Residential Rebate Program

Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners, Duct/Air sealing, Building Insulation, Windows
Applicable Sectors: Residential
Amount:Central AC (15-17 SEER): $400 - $600/unit
Central heat pump (15-17 SEER): $350 - $400/unit
Energy Star window/wall mounted AC: $50 (< or =8,000 Btu/hr); $100 (>8,000 Btu/hr)
Duct: 25% of cost to replace or repair up to $500
Windows: 30% of cost up to $500
Attic insulation: $0.01 x Sq/ft up to $500
Equipment Requirements:Windows must have a U-factor of .35 or less with a solar heat gain coefficient of .27 or less
After installation attic insulation must have an R-value of R-38

 Brownsville Public Utilities Board offers residential customers rebates for installation of energy efficient measures. Through the Green Living Rebate program, customers can apply for rebates for installation of energy efficient HVAC, improved duct flow performance, Energy Star Windows,  Energy Star water heaters, and attic and ceiling insulation. Applications must be completed within 30 days of installations and are subject to verification.
