The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Thank you for your continued support and patience during this transition. We hope you are as excited for December as we are!

Cumberland EMC - Energy Efficient New Homes Program

Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Heat pumps, Comprehensive Measures/Whole Building
Applicable Sectors: Residential, Multi-Family Residential
Amount:Single Family Home greater than 1,500 square feet: $500
Single Family Home less than 1,500 square feet: $200
Multi-Family Home: $100
Equipment Requirements:Homes must have a minimum HERS score of 83.
Installation Requirements:Heat Pumps must be installed by a QCN member.

Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC), in collaboration with The Tennessee Valley Authority provides a financial incentive for its customers to build new energy efficient homes through the energy right New Homes Program. Cash rebates are awarded to new homes built to the program's standards, which includes such measures as low air infiltration, heating and cooling equipment, insulation, ventilation and water heating.
