The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Ground-source heat pump: up to 3,300
Clothes washer: $300
Programmable thermostat: $25
Equipment Requirements:Natural Gas Furnace: AFUE 0.950 and above Central Air Conditioner: SEER of at least 14 Room Air Conditioner: Must be ENERGY STAR-rated
Air-To-Air/Add-On Heat Pump: SEER of at least 14 and HSPF of at least 8
Efficient Fan Motor For Natural Gas Furnace: Must be installed with new qualifying furnace; eligible for one rebate per motor; MidAmerican Energy must supply electricity. CEE air handling ratio< 0.02
Ground-Source Heat Pump:Rebates are per heat pump and are for single-family homes only. EER of at least 14 and COP of at least 3
Clothes Washer: Must use electric dryer and electric water heater
Programmable Thermostat: 5-1-1, 5-2 or 7-day. For natural gas-heated homes only; must use two or more setbacks

MidAmerican Energy offers a variety of incentives for residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of homes. Eligible customers are eligible for rebates on furnaces, furnace fan motors, boilers, water heaters, air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps and insulation. Customers should see the equipment brochure for more rebate information and equipment requirements, or visit the web site below and choose their state under the Energy Efficiency tab.
