Summary:
Montana-Dakota Utilities (MDU) offers rebates on energy efficient natural gas furnaces to its eligible commercial customers. New furnaces are eligible for a rebate incentive between $150 and $300, if the equipment meets program efficiency standards. Furnaces with AFUE between 92% of 95% are eligible for rebates if they are being installed as replacement units or as part of fuel conversion; systems within this efficiency range are not eligible for rebates if installed in new construction. Furnaces with AFUE greater than or equal to 95% are eligible for rebates if installed in new construction. Eligible building must be served under Montana-Dakota's Firm General service rate 70 of 76.
Custom rebates are also available for natural gas customers who pursue energy efficiency upgrades in eligible facilities. Custom incentives vary depending on equipment cost and expected energy savings. Application forms must be fully completed with equipment information such as invoice or receipt, brand, model number, serial number, installation date and dealer information. See program web site listed above to view the application form and for additional program details and guidelines.
