The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Monmouth Power & Light offers a wide range of energy efficiency rebates that encourage residential customers to save energy in their homes. To qualify for these incentives electricity must be and must remain the primary heating source of a participating home.  Additionally, all weatherization measures must be preapproved, and inspections are required to ensure all weatheization measures were implemented properly.  Rebates are available for Energy Star appliances and lighting, water heaters, heat pumps, duct sealing, house sealing, and insulation. There is also a $700 rebate for new Energy Star manufactured home. Interested customers should visit the program website of contact Monmouth Power & Light for more information.
