The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. Equipment Requirements:Air Conditioners: minimum Energy Star SEER rating plus 2
Air-Source Heat Pumps: meet minimum Energy Star SEER rating plus 1
Dual-Fuel Heat Pumps: minimum Energy Star SEER rating plus 1 or Geothermal that meet minimum Energy Star EER rating
Geothermal Heat Pumps (Closed Loop): minimum Energy Star EER, and have an operating Integrated Water Heater or Desuperheater for domestic water heating

Summary:

The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) offers rebates on a variety of HVAC equipment through its WISE Rebate program. This program encourages residential customers and builders to upgrade to energy efficient heating and cooling equipment in participating homes. Rebates are available on air conditioners, air-source heat pumps, dual fuel heat pumps, and geothermal heat pumps. Window units are not eligible for rebates. OMPA will cover 50% of the cost for eligible upgrades through this program, while local municipalities will cover the remaining 50% of the cost.
