Summary:
Oklahoma Energy Cooperative (OEC) offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase of air-source heat pumps, dual-fuel heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps and water heaters. Air-source heat pumps are eligible for a $200 - $325/ton rebate and geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a rebate of between $400 and $700/ton. Customers who upgrade the efficiency of heat pump systems are eligible for a $225/ton rebate. In order to qualify for the rebate, the heat pump must be installed in a newly constructed home or apartment complex or in an existing residential structure that is converting from gas to electric or upgrading an existing electric system to at least 15 SEER.
OEC offers a $180 rebate for a new electric water heater installed in a newly constructed home, apartments, and other structure billed under OEC’s commercial or residential rate, or in existing structures, residential or commercial, converting from gas to electric water heating. The replacement of an existing electric water heater does not qualify for a rebate. The water heater must meet certain requirements listed on the program web site.
Customers must submit a completed rebate claim form within six months of equipment installation.
