Summary:
Columbia Gas of Ohio (CGO) offers a number of rebates on energy efficient equipment and measures to residential customers. Rebates may be available if a customer purchases or installs measures recommended by an eligible home energy auditor. Furnaces and Boilers are eligible for rebates of up to $200 while a variety of insulation rebates are also available. The program requires that a representative of Conservation Services Group inspect and test the home before informing the residents of recommended measures and possible incentives. Wall and attic insulation are also available to eligible customers. The resident may contact a qualifying contractor to install the equipment; approved contractors are listed on the program web site. Bonus rebates are also available for the purchase of certain equipment and measures.
For customers buying or building a new home in Ohio, the ENERGY STAR New Homes Program offers homes more than 35% more efficient than code. AEP Ohio and Columbia Gas of Ohio have a partnership to jointly deliver the ENERGY STAR New Homes Program where the two utility service territories overlap. In areas where Columbia Gas of Ohio does not provide service, ENERGY STAR New Homes are available to AEP Ohio customers. Contact CGO for more information on these offers.
