Summary:
Public Service of New Hampshire, in collaboration with nhsaves, provides incentives for residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of participating homes. Prescriptive rebates are available for the purchase of Energy Star rated clothes washers, refrigerators, room air conditioners, lighting and for recycling inefficient refrigerators. Efficient home construction and other improvements recommended through an energy audit process are also available for rebates.
Customers who wish to improve the efficiency of homes as a whole can also participate in the Home Energy Solutions Program. Through this program, PSNH will send an energy auditor to the customer's house to perform a variety of diagnostic tests to discover the largest areas for improvement to the home's energy efficiency. The customer may then receive up to $4,000 to carry out the recommended improvements including hot water, lighting, and appliance improvements, increased insulation levels, air sealing, duct sealing, improved HVAC filters, and other improvements identified by the auditor.
Customers building new homes or undergoing complete renovations may also participate in the Energy Star Homes Program. These customers are eligible for rebates up to $4,500. A Nationally Certified Home Energy Rater (HERS Rater) is available for design assistance, efficiency recommendations, testing and certification, to ensure that the new home meets the required Program guidelines. Contact PSNH for any other information on these offerings.
