The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Equipment Requirements:Appliances: Must be Energy Star rated
Air Source Heat Pump: HSPF of 9 or higher and a SEER of 14 or higher
Windows: Must meet Energy Star requirements and have a u-value of .30 or less
Electric water heaters of 60 gallons or less must have an EF of 0.94 or higher. Please review rebate form for other size water heaters.

Flathead Electric offers incentives for residential customers to increase energy efficiency in homes through a variety of equipment rebates. Customers who use a pre-approved contractor to install a new, energy-efficient air-source heat pump can receive a $1,000 rebate. Geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a $3,000 rebate, and ductless heat pumps are eligible for a rebate of $1,000. Flathead Electric also offers rebates for Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient water heaters, duct sealing, building insulation, and new windows. All rebates are subject to a post-installation inspection performed by Flathead Electric to ensure proper installation of qualifying equipment.
