Summary:
Missouri Gas Energy (MGE) offers rebates to its residential customers towards the cost of an ENERGY STAR Home Energy Assessment and a portion of the installed efficiency improvements. Home assessments must be performed by a certified Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractor or consultant in order to qualify for a rebate. In addition, rebates will only be awarded to customers who install at least one of the qualifying efficiency improvements identified during the assessment and customers are limited to one rebate per assessment.
The amount of the rebate will vary according to assessment and implementation costs, but may not exceed $600. Kansas City Power & Light offers an identical rebate, which customers of both utilities may take advantage of for a total of $1,200 in rebates for Home Performance. The utilities reserve the right to issue the rebate in the form of a credit on a customer's bill. Customers should contact the utility or consult the program web site for a program application and additional information.
