The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Summary:

Dakota Electric Association provides financial incentives for commercial and industrial customers to increase the energy efficiency of eligible facilities. Examples of equipment and measures eligible for rebates:

  • adjustable speed drives 
  • HVAC equipment 
  • lighting retrofits  
  • lighting in new buildings 
  • motors 
  • vending machine controls 
  • heat pumps

Rebates are limited to 50% of the project cost up to a maximum of $100,000. Customers who wish to participate in this rebate program should call Dakota Electric Association before the new equipment is purchased to ensure that funding is still available. Additional information and applications for all rebates can be found on the website listed above.
