The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Geothermal Heat Pumps

Amount:Clothes Washer: $25
Freezer/Refrigerator: $25
Dishwasher: $25
Air-Source Heat Pump: $500
Ground-Source Heat Pump: $200 per ton
Electric Resistant Heating Products: $10 per kW
Mini-Split Heat Pumps: $75
Central A/C or Heat Pump Tune-Up: $25
Maximum Incentive:Ground-Source Heat Pump: 5 ton maximum
Equipment Requirements:Air-Source Heat Pumps: 13 SEER or higher
All equipment must meet efficiency levels prescribed on the web site
Installation Requirements:Contractors installing air-source or geothermal heat pumps must be Quality Installation (QI) certified and must complete the applicable QI rebate application

Summary:

Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) offers financial incentives to encourage energy efficiency within the residential sector. Rebates are available for a variety of equipment including air-source heat pumps, ground-source heat pumps, Energy Star appliances, and electric resistance heating products. Equipment rebates are only available to those participating in the Energy Wise Programs, with the exception of appliances. All Heat pumps must be central systems to operate on Energy Wise programs and qualify for MVEC rebates. Rebates for ground-source heat pumps vary based upon system size.
