Summary:
The City of Duluth offers an incentive program to residents upgrade household equipment or install energy efficiency measures. Contractor-installed improvements are eligible for a rebate worth 25% of the installation cost. Rebates are available for insulation, air sealing, furnace and boiler replacements, water heaters, lighting improvements, and certain appliances. Rebates are capped at $2,500 per single unit property with a $500 additional incentive per unit for 2-4 unit residences. Higher rebates levels are available for income-qualified residents. All upgrades must have a minimum payback of 10 years. Only residents of Duluth are eligible for incentives under this program.
