Summary:
The Consumers Energy Residential HVAC and Water Heating Incentive Program covers products purchased and installed on or after May 15, 2010 but on or before November 30, 2010. Funds for incentives are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis through December 31.

Consumers Energy residential electric customers are eligible to apply for a variety of rebates on energy efficient equipment. Customers must install equipment in the Consumers Energy service area and receive electric service from Consumers Energy for the appliance purchased. Consumers Energy may verify sales transactions and that installed energy-saving measures meet all applicable building codes, zoning laws, local, state, and federal requirements. A contractor’s invoice itemizing the purchased equipment and indicating type, make, model, price, serial numbers, and date of purchase must accompany each Consumers Energy Incentive Request Form. Customers should allow 6–8 weeks for payment, longer if information is missing on the application.
