The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. The Detroit Public Lighting Department (PLD) offers residential customers rebates for energy efficient lights. In addition, low-income residential customers may qualify for free compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). Specific rebate amounts, equipment requirements, and applications are available on the program web site. Rebate amounts may not exceed the cost of the item. In order to qualify, lights must be purchased between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. Applications must be postmarked by January 6, 2014. All applications must be submitted to: Detroit PLD Energy Wise Program, 2990 W.Grand Blvd. Ste. 310, Detroit, MI 48202 within 60 days of purchase.
