The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Parke County REMC - Energy Efficient Equipment Rebate Program

Amount:Water Heater: $50 - $150
Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling: $35
Air-Source/Dual Fuel Heat Pump: $150 - $500
Geothermal Heat Pump: $800
Maximum Incentive:Geothermal Heat Pump: 1 per home or business
Eligible System Size:Water Heater: 50 Gallons or greater
Equipment Requirements:Water Heater: Energy Star
Air-Source Heat Pump: Minimum 14 SEER
Geothermal Heat Pump: Return air ducts must be insulated to R-19
Installation Requirements:Water Heater: Must replace non electric water heater at least 5 years old
Air-Source Heat Pump: Must replace heat pump rated lower than SEER 10

Summary:

Parke County REMC offers rebates to commercial and residential customers for purchasing and installing qualifying energy efficient water heaters, air-source heat pumps, dual fuel heat pumps, and geothermal heat pumps. Rebates will be paid in the form of an on-bill credit. Some rebates may be paid over the course of several on-bill credits. All efficiency and equipment requirements stated on the program web site must be met in order to be eligible. Provide all requested purchase information. Rebates will be issued after the program agreement has been signed and appropriate forms have been provided. Parke County's wholesale provider, Wabash Valley Power Association, provides incentives for commercial and industrial customers as well. Contact Parke County REMC with any further questions or visit the website listed above.
