The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Marshall County REMC - Geothermal and Heat Pump Rebate Program

Heat Pump Water Heater: $400/unit
Air Source Heat Pump: $1,500/unit
Maximum Incentive:One incentive per type per house
Equipment Requirements:Heat Pump Water Heater: EF minimum 2.0
Air Source Heat Pump: SEER minimum 14, HSPF minimum 8.0
Installation Requirements:Dealer must be factory trained and certified. New unit must be a high-efficiency ground source heat pump with electric back-up. Heat being replaced must be electric resistance. Geo units replacing an existing geo unit are not eligible for this rebate. Both the condenser and coil must be installed as a matched set.

Marshall County REMC provides a rebate to residential customers for the purchase and installation of an air source heat pump, a geothermal heat pump, and/or a heat pump water heater. Customers can receive $1,500 for the purchase of a geothermal and air source heat pump, and $400 for a heat pump water heater. Rebates are limited to one per household per type of heat pump. Customers interested in this rebate should notify Marshall County REMC following installation of the unit, at which time a representative will inspect the unit and issue a rebate check within four weeks.
