Summary:
WIN Energy REMC offers incentives to residential customers for the purchase and installation of energy efficient water heaters, air source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems. All equipment must meet certain energy efficiency standards listed on the program web site. Rebates must be submitted in person, within 30 days of the equipment installation date. All rebate requests must include a bill of sale with the following information: Installation date, model and serial number, SEER rating (must be 14 SEER or higher), WIN Energy account number where unit was installed, and previous type of heating system (if replacing existing system). Incentives range from $50 - $1,000 depending on technology, size, and efficiency. Customers can also pick up a free electric 52 gallon water heater with an Energy Factor of .90, if they are making the switch from a gas to electric system or it is for new construction project. In order to receive any of the rebates, the customer must agree to participate in WIN Energy's Load Management Program. Interested customers should contact Win Energy REMC for more information.
