| Equipment Requirements: | Electric Water Heaters: .90 efficiency or higher, only for a new unit or replacement of an electric water heater that is less than .90 efficiency
New Geothermal Heat Pump: must have an EER of 19.1 or higher, can be for a new construction, replacement of electric resistance heat, natural gas, propane or air-source heat pump
Replacement Geothermal Heat Pump: must have an EER of 19.1 or higher, for the replacement of an existing ground-source heat pump
Air-Source Heat Pumps: Must have a SEER of 16.5 or higher, can be for a new construction or as a replacement of electric resistant heat. The heat pump must have an automatic thermostat controlled back-up heating system such as propane, natural gas or fuel oil. Must have cut-in point of 25° F

Summary:
Associated Electric Cooperative and many of its member cooperatives offer rebates to residential customers who purchase and install energy efficient equipment for the home. Eligible equipment includes room air conditioners, geothermal heat pumps, air-source heat pumps, and water heaters. Equipment must meet all efficiency and application guidelines in order to receive rebate. Some members of Associated Electric Cooperative's may not offer these rebates to customers. Rebate amounts shown above are base rebate amounts and may vary across cooperatives. Visit the web site to see which utilities are participating in the program.
