Summary:

Muscatine Power and Water (MP&W) offers rebates for energy efficient upgrades to its commercial and industrial customers. Rebates are available for commercial lighting retrofits, energy efficient motors, LED exit signs, fluorescent light bulbs, air conditioners, geothermal heat pumps, and custom measures that reduce electricity demand. Facilities must receive an energy audit from MP&W prior to any equipment replacement in order to be eligible for demand reduction based rebates. The prescriptive appliance rebates are exempt from this requirement. Rebates for custom measures, commercial lighting retrofits, LED exit signs, and energy efficient motors are limited to $2,000 per account per year. Rebates for large geothermal systems may be spread out over three years. Specific rebate amounts and program details are located on the program overview and information brochure.

Measures must be purchased during a given calendar year in order to qualify for the incentives offered during that year. Applications for measures taken during previous years must be submitted by March 31 of the following year. All rebates are subject to funding availability and the program may be discontinued at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify that the program remains active prior to making any equipment purchases. Muscatine Power and Water also offers a donation program in which commercial and industrial customers may have a wind turbine or solar array installed on the contributors property.
