Summary:

Muscatine Power and Water (MP&W) offers rebates on certain energy efficiency appliances to its residential customers. Rebates for new electric refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers, dryers, ranges, room air and central air conditioners, ground source heat pumps, and water heaters are eligible for this program. The rebate amount varies by the measure employed, and appliances must meet certain requirements (e.g., Energy Star qualified) to be eligible. Generally, energy guides must be submitted along with the application and purchase receipt to verify that the appliance meets the program requirements. Rebates for refrigerators require proof of disposal for the old refrigerator, either through a participating dealer or the City of Muscatine.

Appliances must be purchased during any given calendar year to be eligible for the rebates offered during that year. Applications for appliances purchased during the previous year must be received by March 31 of the following year in order to be eligible for a rebate. Make, model, purchase date, puchase location, quantity and price must be included with rebate application. Rebates are subject to funding availability and may be discontinued at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of the applicant to verify that the program is active before making any equipment purchases.
