Summary:
The Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is a generation and transmission cooperative serving 12 rural electric cooperatives (REC) and one municipal electric cooperative in the state of Iowa. They are: - Southwest Iowa REC
- Farmers Electric Cooperative
- Clarke Electric Cooperative
- Guthrie REC
- Midland Power Cooperative
- Consumers Energy
- Pella Electric Cooperative Association
- T.I.P. REC
- East-Central Iowa REC
- Linn County REC
- Maquoketa Valley Electric Co-op
- Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative
The rural electric cooperative members of CIPCO serve approximately 110,000 customers in 59 of Iowa’s 99 counties. Each REC has established energy efficiency rebate programs to encourage greater efficiency in their members' homes. The incentive programs all typically provide rebates for water heaters, electric heating equipment, air conditioners, indoor air quality equipment, lighting, and appliances. However, some utilities do not provide rebates for every type of equipment, and the rebate levels vary slightly from utility to utility. Interested participants should visit the website above, and select their respective utility to learn about the specific rebates their utility is providing.
