Summary:
The CFU Energy Efficiency Rebate Program provides rebates for energy efficient refrigerators, heating and cooling equipment, and thermal envelope improvements. The amount of the rebate varies greatly by technology and all technology must meet specified energy efficiency requirements listed on the program website. Heating and cooling rebates range from $200-$300 per unit with an additional rebate for higher than the minimum required efficiency. Thermal envelope improvements, including attic, ceiling, in-wall, and foundation insulation are eligible for a rebate of 60% of the contracted labor plus up to an additional $1,000 for the costs of equipment and materials. To qualify for the heating and cooling rebates, CFU Energy Service staff must measure your home to determine the appropriate size of the new equipment to be installed. All receipts must be mailed to CFU along with a completed application.
