Summary:

The Green Built Homes of Florida Program has been discontinued as of July 31, 2012. Builder may request a rebate for new construction properties which have been issued permits by 5 p.m. July 31, 2012.

Green Built Homes of Florida is an incentive program offered by JEA and the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) to promote the use of energy and water efficient building practices in new single family homes constructed in Northeast Florida. In order to qualify for the incentives, new homes must be built to at least one of the following certifications:

  • Energy Star
  • Builder's Challenge
  • Florida Water Star
  • Florida Green Building Coalition Home
  • US Green Building Council LEED for Homes
  • National Association of Home Builders Green Home Standard

Builders interested in participating in the Green Built Home of Florida program should contact JEA for additional information on incentive amounts and program guidelines.  A list of currently participating home builders is available on the program web site.
