The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. Applicable Sectors: Commercial, Industrial
Amount:Window Film or Solar Screen: $1/sq. ft.
Energy Star Windows: $2/sq. ft.
Cool/Reflective Roof: $0.14/sq. ft.
Block Wall Insulation: $0.66/sq. ft.
Ceiling Insulation Upgrade: $0.14 sq. ft.
Custom incentives: $250/kW
Custom lighting incentives: $150/kW Floor Insulation Upgrade: $0.07 sq. ft.
Heat Pump: $20-$1,275
Duct Repair/Replacement: 100% of cost up to $160
A/C Proper Sizing w/ R-30 Attic Insulation: $40-$85
Energy Star Washing Machine: $50
Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heater: 100% of cost up to $650
Maximum Incentive:Custom projects: $50,000 per project and $100,000 per customer
Equipment Requirements:Ceiling insulation upgrade must replace insulation of R-11 or less or rebate will be reduced
Cool/Reflective Roofs: Solar reflectance must be 0.7 or greater
Block Wall Insulation: Must increase initial R-Value by R-10
Floor Insulation Upgrade: Final R-Value must be R-11 or more

Summary:

Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) offers rebates on a variety of energy efficient improvements for commercial customers. Customers should view the program brochure on the web site listed above for more information. Prescriptive and custom incentives are available. Eligible measures include:

  • Window Film or Solar Screens
  • Energy Star Windows
  • Cool/Reflective Roofs
  • Block Wall Insulation
  • Ceiling Insulation Upgrades
  • Floor Insulation Upgrades
  • Heat Pumps
  • Duct Repair/Replacements
  • A/C Proper Sizing w/ R-30 Attic Insulation
  • Energy Star Washing Machines
  • Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heaters

 Application materials and detailed equipment requirements are available on the program web site. Random on-site verification may be scheduled prior to issuing rebates. Rebates are paid as a credit on the customer's bill.
