Summary:
Jacksonville Electric Authority is offering rebates for home energy efficiency improvements through the ShopSmart with JEA program. Appliance rebates are claimed through a mail-in rebate form, available on the program web site. Rebates are valid for equipment purchased after December 1, 2009 and before September 31, 2012. Rebate requests must be postmarked by October 31, 2012. CFL rebates are deducted immediately at the point of sale. Interested customers can find a list of participating retailers on the program web site
In order to receive rebates for window tinting, heat pumps, or central air conditioners, interested customers should contact a pre-qualified contractor to perform an assessment. The rebate from Jacksonville Electric Authority will be clearly displayed on the invoice provided by the contractor. For more information on all programs and incentives, visit the utility's web site.
