The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Delta-Montrose Electric Association - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Clothes Washers, Dishwasher, Refrigerators, Water Heaters, Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners
Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Geothermal Heat Pumps
Applicable Sectors: Residential
Amount:Energy Star LED Bulbs: 50% of cost, up to $10
Dishwasher: $30
Clothes Washer: $40
Refrigerator/Freezer: $40
Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling: $60
Water Heaters: $150; additional $25 for the installation of a timer
Heat Pumps: $150/ton; plus additional $100 - $150 for Energy Star qualified systems
Split System Air Conditioner: $150; plus additional $100 - $150 for Energy Star qualified systems
Equipment Requirements:All appliances/equipment (except water heaters) must be Energy Star rated
Water Heaters: must have a life time warranty
Heat Pumps/Air Conditioners: Must be 3 tons or larger; SEER 14.5; EER 12

Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) offers a variety of rebates for customers who buy energy efficient appliances and equipment. Rebates are available for energy efficient electric water heaters, clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, heat pumps, and split system air conditioners. DMEA also offers a $60 rebate to customers who properly recycle old refrigerator or freezer. In order to qualify for the rebates, customers must submit an application, which are located on the program web site. Applications must be accompanied by a receipt and/or other proof of purchase with the brand, model, and serial number included. Participating customers must submit these to the DMEA office.
