The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Gunnison County Electric - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Amount:Dishwashers: $45/unit
Clothes Washers: $60/unit
Refrigerators: $60/unit
Freezers: $60/unit
Refrigerator Recycling: $40/unit
Freezer Recycling: $40/unit
Electric Water Heaters (30-gal capacity, 6-year warranty, mandated EF rating): $70/unit
Super Efficient Water Heater: $120/unit (primary heating must be from geothermal heat pump)
Water Heaters (lifetime warranty): Additional $25/unit
Water Heaters (timer controlled): Additional $20/unit
Geothermal Heat Pump: $750 for minimum 3-ton Energy Star rated unit, additional $150/ton above minimum incentive; additional $50/unit for GCEA load control
Electric Thermal Storage: $22/kW Energy Audits: Free

Equipment Requirements:Rebates must be requested within 180 days of installation. Commercial lighting retrofit projects must be pre-approved to be eligible for rebates.

Gunnison County Electric Association (GCEA), a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, has a residential rebate program for eligible Energy Star appliances including clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, ground source heat pumps, electric thermal storage systems. All efficiency requirements set forth by GCEA must be met in order to receive rebates. Rebates must be requested within 180 days of installation. Rebates are offered in conjunction with Tri-State Generation and Transmission; therefore, the amounts listed above represent the combined rebate provided by both GCEA and Tri-State.
