Summary:
Holy Cross Energy's WE CARE (With Efficiency, Conservation And Renewable Energy) Program offers a $1.50-per-watt DC incentive for renewable energy generation using wind, hydroelectric, photovoltaic, biomass or geothermal technology. Of the $1.50 per-watt payment, $1.00 serves as the rebate payment, and $0.50 serves as a payment for the renewable energy credits (RECs) the system is expected to produce. Payments are not to exceed 50% of actual installed costs, and the maximum rebate per installation is $9,000. While systems larger than 6 kW are capped at the $9,000 rebate level, there is technically no capacity limit to participate in the rebate program. Sysatems larger than 6 kW, however, may receive a different rebate amount with a cap in excess of $9,000. Contact the utility for more information.
Systems must be within Holy Cross’s service territory and connected to Holy Cross Energy's electric system to qualify for renewable energy incentives. Consumer will be required to execute an Interconnect Agreement with Holy Cross and be subject to the terms and conditions of Holy Cross’s “Renewable Energy Net Metering Service – Optional” tariff.
