Applicable Sectors: Residential, Multi-Family Residential, Low-Income Residential
Incentive Amount:For most Home-Rewards Rebates, in Burbank projects are rewarded 50%-100% more than those applications from outside of Burbank.
Inside Burbank:
Central A/C: $100-$140/ton (varies according to SEER rating)
Room A/C: $75
Attic Insulation: $0.15/sq ft
Wall Insulation: $0.15/sq ft
Solar Attic Fan: $200
Ceiling Fans: $25 (maximum three)
Clothes Washer: $100
Dishwasher: $75
Low E Windows/Doors: $2.00/sq ft
Pool pump: $100
Refrigerator: $150
Equipment Requirements:Most appliances must be ENERGY STAR rated
Low-E windows/doors: U-Factor and SHGC must be 0.40 or lower
Central A/C: minimum 14 SEER
Wall insulation: minimum of R-13

Summary:
 
Burbank Water and Power (BWP) offers the Home Rewards Rebate Program providing incentives to its residential customers for installing energy efficient equipment in their homes. Rebates vary according to equipment technology and location of purchase. The following equipment are eligible for rebates through the program:
  • Clothes Washers  
  • Dishwashers  
  • Refrigerators  
  • Room Air Conditioners  
  • Central Air Conditioners  
  • Low-E Windows/Doors  
  • Whole House Fans  
  • Solar Attic Fans  
  • Ceiling Fans  
  • Pool Pumps  
  • Attic Insulation  
  • Wall Insulation
In order to receive a rebate for refrigerators, the existing refrigerator must be recycled. In addition, clothes washers purchased after July 1, 2008 with a Water Factor of 5.0 or less will receive an additional $100. To receive a rebate, Burbank residents must fill out the Home Rewards application and send it to BWP's Conservation Group along with a copy of their receipt(s). Submit application no later than four months after purchase. Additional information including application form may be found on the website listed above.
