Summary:
Alameda Power and Telecom offers rebates for its commercial customers to install energy efficient lighting and air conditioning systems. Lighting rebates are available for T8 fluorescent lamps and electronic ballasts, for compact fluorescent, high-pressure sodium and metal halide lamps, for occupancy sensors, and other energy saving products. A pilot program provides higher rebates based on the annual KwH savings for advanced energy efficiency technologies like LED parking lot lights, and LED recessed light fixtures.
To qualify, you must first fill out the application forms available on their website, and schedule a pre-installation inspection. Alameda Power and Telecom will then award the rebate once they receive the proofs of purchase and conduct a post-installation inspection. The incentives vary according to the type and efficiency of the equipment installed, and the type and efficiency of the equipment being replaced. Full details and rebate schedule are available on the application forms.
