Summary:

The Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program offers cash rebates on qualifying energy-efficiency upgrades or improvements made to single family homes, multi-family apartments, or attached residential units (maximum of four). Prescriptive rebates are available for qualifying Energy Star dishwashers, clothes washers and water heaters. These appliance rebates can be redeemed at the point of sale through participating retailers. If the equipment is bought at a non-participating retailer, mail-in rebates are available. Mail-in rebates are also available for central natural gas furnaces, attic and wall insulation, and tankless water heaters. Eligible equipment must meet the specifications listed by SoCalGas. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted. Customers should contact SoCalGas prior to purchasing an eligible improvement to ensure that there is adequate funding. To qualify, energy-efficient products must be purchased and installed on or after January 1, 2009.
