Additionally, natural gas customers are eligible for rebates on storage water heaters and natural gas furnaces. Participating retailers provide instant rebates on eligible products; a list of retailers is available on the program web site. Items that qualify for the instant rebate are not eligible for the mail-in rebate application program. Additionally, SDG&E provides load-management rebates for cycling AC units during peak periods of demand.

SDG&E also offers a rebate application for energy-efficient appliances that are not purchased at a participating point-of-sale retailer. The rebate application and a list of eligible appliances are available on the program web site.
