The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in the summer of 2014. Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Lighting, Furnaces , Boilers, Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners, Programmable Thermostats, Caulking/Weather-stripping, Duct/Air sealing, Building Insulation, Windows, Roofs, Custom/Others pending approval, Whole House Fans, Pool Pumps, Evaporative Coolers, Water Efficiency
Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Solar Water Heat, Photovoltaics, Wind, Geothermal Heat Pumps
Applicable Sectors: Commercial
Terms:Eligible products can be financed for 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 years, depending on the useful life of the eligible product.
Minimum financing: $5,000
Maximum financing: 15% of the property's value. WRCOG Executive Committee approval is required for any project costs over $1,000,000.

Summary:

Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) is offering business owners in WRCOG participating jurisdictions an opportunity to finance energy and water efficiency projects for their commercial properties. The HERO Commercial Program is a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program. PACE programs allow businesses to finance energy improvements, and to repay the financing through special assessments on their property taxes.
