Summary:
Alameda Power & Telecom offers an incentive program to customers who install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Rebates will be provided to commercial and residential customers on a per-watt AC basis, which, in keeping with the terms of the California Solar Initiative, will decline over the life of the program according to a 10-year schedule. Each succeeding year has a lower incentive amount and a higher maximum aggregate capacity for installations. For the year 2009, the rebate level is $2.60 per watt, and the capacity of all installations combined is capped at 162 kilowatts (kW). Over the life of the program, Alameda Power & Telecom has a goal of 2,127 kW of new solar capacity.
Additional restrictions and eligibility requirements. The full 10-year schedule can be found on the web site above. Commercial customers should contact the utility for more information about current incentive levels.
