The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Silicon Valley Power - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Amount:Attic Insulation: $175
Ceiling Fan: $35 each
Heat Pump Water Heater: up to $1,000
LED Bulbs: $15/bulb installed
Pool Pump: $200
Refrigerator: $50
Refrigerator recycling: $35
Room AC: $25
Room AC Recycling: $25
Solar Attic Fan: $100
Whole House Fan: $200
Equipment Requirements:Most appliances must be ENERGY STAR rated
Attic insulation must cover at least 50% of the total attic space to qualify
Ceiling Fans: limit (3)
Refrigerator and AC rebates require recycling of old unit through SVP program to qualify.

Silicon Valley Power offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase of a variety of energy efficient products including:

  • ENERGY STAR Refrigerators
  • Attic insulation
  • Pool pumps
  • Room air conditioning
  • Electric Hot Water Heater Pump
  • Whole house fans

To qualify for these programs, residents must live in the City of Santa Clara, receive electricity from Silicon Valley Power, and make purchases from participating retailers. Silicon Valley Power also offers its customers recycling rebate programs. Participants can receive $35 for a recycled refrigerator and $25 for a recycled air conditioner.
