The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in the summer of 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new DSIRE and are unfortunately only able to make minimal updates to the DSIRE website at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for using DSIRE.

Summary:

Redding Electric Utility offers a variety of financial incentives for energy efficiency through its Earth Advantage Rebate Program. Rebates are for weatherization measures, HVAC equipment, and lighting equipment. Rebates are limited to upgrades and efficiency improvements on existing equipment. Rebate applications and further program guidelines are available on REU's web site. Those customers below 80% of median income levels could qualify for higher rebates if they contact REU and fill out the application on the web site.

Additionally, the Home Performance Program offers an alternative to single-item equipment purchases by providing a comprehensive solution for the entire home. Select contractors will perform testing and analysis on a variety of energy consuming household equipment, identifying opportunities for energy savings throughout the home. Measures often include HVAC system removal and replacement, HVAC right-sizing, increased insulation levels and optimization of whole house ventilation systems. Contact Redding Electric or view the program web site for information on individual equipment rebates for commercial and residential customers, as well as Home Performance Program rebates.
