The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Modesto Irrigation District - Custom Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Lighting, Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners, Building Insulation, Custom/Others pending approval, Commercial Refrigeration Equipment, LED Lighting
Applicable Sectors: Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural
Amount:Lighting Measures: $250/kW reduced or $.04/kWh reduced
Insulation Measures: $250/kW reduced or $.04/kWh reduced
Air Conditioning: $500/kW reduced or $0.10/kWh reduced
Refrigeration: $500/kW reduced or $0.10/kWh reduced
Other (Variable): $350/kW reduced or $.07/kWh reduced
Maximum Incentive:Rebate caps are adjusted according to MID's electric rate schedule they vary from $15,000 - $500,000. Exemptions from rebate caps can be requested.
Equipment Requirements:Almost any project that involves the replacement of existing equipment with high efficiency equipment may be eligible for the rebate.

The MPower Custom Rebate Program is available to larger commercial, industrial or agricultural customers that replace existing equipment or systems with high efficiency equipment.  To be eligible for this program, replacement projects must meet the following requirements:

  • Reduce electrical energy usage,
  • Operate for a minimum of 5 years after installation,
  • Not be completed prior to submitting an application,
  • Be completed within one year of submitting an application,
  • Not be otherwise eligible for an MID MPower Business Rebate.

Applicants may be subject to a pre-installation inspection and post-installation inspection of project area and equipment. For projects that qualify for a rebate of $10,000 or more the savings estimate must be reviewed and stamped by a State of California licensed engineer.  There is also a minimum rebate amount of $250. The rebate does not apply to new construction. For specific program details and instructions on how to apply, customers should download the custom rebate catalog located on the program web site.
