The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. SRP's Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program is designed to encourage residential SRP customers to utilize energy efficient appliances and measures at home. Rebates and discounts are available for lighting, duct repairs, duct testing, energy audits, HVAC checkups, refrigerator recycling and shade screens for windows. Some rebate amounts vary by energy efficiency. See program web site for a detailed summarization of each program. Each program may have specific guidelines and deadlines for measures to be installed. The Choose the Right Price Plan also offers home energy solutions tailored to several kinds of residential customers. The program takes into account the size of the home, number of people in the residence, average monthly bills and daily activities. This is designed to allow customers to conserve as much energy as possible, based upon the needs of each customer. Visit the program web site for more information on this offering.
